My journey into yoga began approximately ten years ago when I started attending drop-in classes at a gym. A remarkable transformation took place, as my sedentary lifestyle and negative self-image gave way to improved physical and emotional health. After several years of practicing, I heeded the call to share yoga with others and enrolled in teacher training with Gaiatri Yoga, one of Western Canada's most respected yoga teacher training programs.
I am honoured to have studied with some amazing teachers, and completed my 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in 2009. Since then, I have taught to groups large and small in a variety of settings, from private and corporate classes to community centres and yoga studios. My classes are inspired by many different yoga traditions and combine flexibility, strength, balance, concentration and relaxation. I believe that yoga should be fun and accessible to everyone. Each class I teach inspires me to learn more. The transformation that started when I first stepped onto the mat years ago continues on and off the mat today, and I look forward to the rest of the journey.
